Agave Rain

Barely managed to get this one in! Still learning how to get decent takes. I had more tracks this time and different parts. It was definitely a learning experience trying to get them to tie together. Unlike my last submission I recorded this one in various pieces and then tried to stitch it together into one cohesive piece.

This is a big, sexy jam. Great lead tones, really suits the style you're playing. I think all the pieces tie together well. As far as "learning to get decent takes". I think we're all forever learning. My strategy is to do a bunch of indecent takes then splice together the decent parts. Glad you're sticking with it.

Nice, lots of cool vibes and tonal changes in there with an overall smooth jazzy feel. I really like the shift at 2:39 in particular, has a little bit of a darker tonality that sounds sexy. Nice soloing throughout the track too, I can hear the kraan influences.
also, the licc @ 4:32.

Beautiful work. lovely guitarplaying all through the whole track. the sound is awesome. I am impressed.

That's one tasty jam.

Thanks! Yeah I think splicing is going to be something I experiment with going forward. Glad you thought the pieces tied together, I think that was the main challenge with this one but it seemed to come together towards the end.

Thanks! And yes the licc has thoroughly embedded itself into my vocabulary.

Thanks! And yeah the drums are programmed but not really by me exactly. I used the virtual drummer track in GarageBand and kind just clicked around until I found the patterns that I liked and made some tweaks using the options available. I'm starting to program my own drums now because I think it's more fun, but these virtual drummer tracks do sound pretty awesome and they sure are expedient.
