Birth of a Universe

By Saguaro Gigante on April 7, 2024 11:05 pm

Had a good time making this one! At first I wanted to do something like grindcore, but this ended up being more of an experimental noise metal sort of thing. I used double tracked overdriven basses panned hard left and right and a bunch of string section virtual instruments where I just mashed the keys to get atonal nonsense. I really like the way it turned out.

This is gross as hell. Love it man.

What a metal-as-fuck song title, haha. This sounds like some super avant-garde metal too. That synth pad sounds epic and doomy - like the low roar of a cosmic being - and that shredding towards the end reminded me a lot of Blotted Science which is a blast from the past. Also cool way to end the song with that crystalline string synth. It's as if the chaotic birth of the universe resolved into order.

Boy dis is naaaaasty good smile

The way you move between genres is so seamless, and in such a short amount of time as well - it's quite impressive.

Damn!

Yeah, those nasty basses are pretty cool. There is quite a bit of impressive guitar shreds in too!

Chaos unleashed! \m/  hell yais!  The beat is awesome and love the interplay between the drums and the bass at 1:07.  Gave me some Mick Gordon Doom vibes during that section.  Excellent unexpected outro!

Thanks! If I remember correctly, I think having that ringing synth at the end when everything else cuts out was initially an accident but I liked the way it seemed to instantly resolve all the chaos. I think that's probably where I got the idea for the title as well.

Thanks a lot! I really like trying out different stuff when I can.

Thank you! That shreddy part at the end was fun. I had two bass tracks and a guitar track going at the same time and I was playing random notes as fast as I could.

Thank you! Utter chaos is what I was hoping for!

This sounds gnarly. Damn!
