I belong to the prairie

By sad_infamy_sings on August 14, 2022 4:28 am

One of my best collaborators has been the prairie! Sorry for the noise that sounds like i’m shoveling through 10 feet of earth, its just my phone jangling around in my bag.

the EQ on everything, sitting snugly in the mids, yet with all these playful moves in the singing and playing, makes it feel spacious like a prairie at the same cozy like a campfire heart

gorgeous, this is definitely like waking up in a cabin in the woods and hearing your camp-mates out by the fire singing

love the walking sound, that definitely adds to the camp/hike vibe

Oh hell yeah, that sad infamy magic where the recording style, environment, noise, behavior, and life itself is all part of the work, like a glimpse into something present and alive. Do you know of other music that's as "environment not optional" as yours? The noise is not optional, either, the song is incomplete without it (and you're singing about responsibility w/ that -- acoustic poetry, doesn't matter if planned or not -- just ended up perfect.)
