Degenerate Phase

By s.d.s. on December 15, 2024 11:28 pm

Continuing to experiment with repetition and slow phasing of instruments. This is the first ten minutes of a 30 minute track that I will post elsewhere later.

It’s kinda generative, but I put so many limits on it that it’s generative in only a very controlled sense.

Pam’s Pro Workout doing all the sequencing
Main plucks: 0-coast modulated by several Pam’s LFOs
Noise drone: Decadebridge Albers
Filter: Elta PF-3, with one filter on Albers and the second on the 0-coast, both with really slow, out of phase LFOs from Pam’s.
Chines and detuned chords: Syntakt
Gated FM thing that comes in occasionally: Decadebridge Tin modulated by Pam’s
Everything else: Microcosm and Gooden Master

Very-controlled generative is the way to do it, imo

This definitely feels like it can go on for a lot longer
