Laugh samples are on point and the nice heavy sound is so crunchy and full! That guitar pushes the whole thing into glorious territory and gives a great balance to the sporadically glitchy electronic sounds.

If you want a quick tip, you can make your sounds pop more as well. You do it by sidechaining the bass to the kick drum. Most people these days talk about sidechaining as this exaggerated pumping effect, but done right it just makes the kick sound more massive because the bass is ducking from it.

For the rest, EQ things a bit so every channel leaves space for others. And use a multiband maximize on the master bus. I use Waves L3-LL Multi. Low-latency so I just keep it with my default template in Live.

Funnily enough, this is no guitar. It's a rather simple patch on a built-in synth in Reaktor called 2-Osc. It sounds like a distorted guitar thanks to going through Guitar Rig 7.

I wanna say Guitar Rig is underrated/underused but as you've demonstrated here, it's also a secret weapon lol, it sounds sooo good (I also use it all the time), the bass is kicking too. What all did you use in Reaktor? Really nice, tight 3 minute composition, great track!

(also: very effective sidechaining, cleans up the mix beautifully, agreed, it's used a little over the top too often as sound design and not often enough as a mixing tool - as much as I love me a massively side chained pad or bass lol)

Yeah, it's really all Reaktor this time. As mentioned, the guitar is the 2-Osc machine. The drums are Polyplex. The acid is Carbon 2. The toy piano is Prism. Pads in the background are Junatik II. And the lately bass is from FM4.

Very cool. I had never heard of the Disquiet Junto project. Seems like a rad exercise (much like WB). The track is so big and chuggy. I like it. Rad use of Renoise and mixture of elements.

Oooh yes, devilish spooky, while rocking and grooving hard enough to dance to. Great creation for the Junto! This would be perfect through a huge sound system at a halloween rave. Great sounds and production. Love the acid. Makes me want to play with Reaktor more. Made over the Atlantic - that's cool!
