watch as they pull me down

I welcome all critical feedback.

This is a collaboration:

Stem with just the bass, guitar, and piano available as part of Disquiet Junto Project #0636 Left - 1 of 3. Let's see if this ends up inspiring even more collaboration! (you can sample the stem for a Weekly Beat, too!)

86 BPM 4/4, Eb-minor. Iridium bass. D-05 lead and clave arp. Pianoteq 7 piano. Guitar recorded with my Yamaha Revstar.

Man, this has so much going on and I like all of it.

Very cool, groovy vibes. Love the subtly glitchy touches here and there. Putting that D05 to good use!

Nice groove, love the synth sounds. The piano is a great touch

awesome! so cool to hear the drums and drone recontextualized, sounds huge big_smile I love the pacing and transitions. cool demosceney melodies.

Oof, the layering of all the parts right near he end there is just fantastic, feel it right across my head from one ear to the other, just great! And the piano and clav are such great textural components, really nice track.

you are so good at bringing all these elements together in a way that still breathes and grooves. nice work, and really cool sounds from license and laguna!

Enjoyed this, great groove and movement, love that piano, tasty bass licks and leads. When license bass comes in is awesome. I may have to build on this for the Junto week 2, I'm hearing things in my head. I shared a somewhat mellow handpan thing for week 1: https://llllllll.co/t/disquiet-junto-project-0636-left-1-of-3/66416/52

Holy cats - this is a lush swirl of brilliance. It belongs in the soundtrack for a cool heist movie or a thriller or something.

Hah, I thought I recognized that arp. Nice work man smile

cooool I love hearing when people remix other tracks from wb!  had to look up the revstar. really cool guitar!

Thanks! I switched to the Roland Cloud D-50 as the D-05 went to a friend of mine. Even though both are digital, I have to say the plugin sounds worse and it's missing some of the magic. It also ships with different presets.

Thank you, I don't put much acoustic piano timbres in my pieces these days, but when it's needed, it's needed big_smile

Thank you! Glad you approve of your track's reuse. We haven't heard back from laguna, though big_smile

I gravitate towards tracks that have a tangible finale. Glad to hear this one works for you!

That's really a compliment coming from you, man. You're composing actual songs at breakneck pace! I wanted to use each of the guest tracks in separate pieces, but then it turned out I could use them together with just a bit of tempo nudging and bass drum tuning. So it felt right!

Somebody did end up using my track so I'm glad! I myself ended up using Coraline's track from DJP#0636 for this week's Junto. Your drumming sounds like something I could use for a future Weekly Beat. If you have the DAW project, note if you can do something about the slight distortion that's there in the output (example at 2:08 but it's there across the tune every now and then).

This one is mine. I fell in love with it when I saw how Jeff Schoeder from the Smashing Pumpkins plays it. They filmed it well, it really looks like this in real life. If only I could play it that well, though! big_smile

super fun track!

the sound design for the "snare" in the intro section is really cool and unexpected. love some of the wilder sounds, laser zaps, noise bursts, etc. happening after the 3 minute mark. good stuff!

Based on the title, I was wondering if it was going to be a take the artist "Dead When I Found Her" - no, but pleasantly surprised none the less! Great collaboration! It's wonderful and inspiring to see how people keep building.

My guy..... TWIN PEAKS!!! lol. Love to see it.

Love the way that bass crawls throughout the track, super groovy but subtle tone. The touch of piano is super duper tasteful, it sounds wonderful in the mix.

Excellent groove throughout on this awesome track.  The bass hooks ya instantly and cuts thru the mix so nicely as everything else gets introduced.  Those machine gun-glitchy-percussion fills midway thru are some nice ear candy as well.  Nice work!

I see your reply above. I'll take a listen for that distortion. I noticed someone used this for week 2, so I did something that hadn't been used yet. I think I'll add version of my drums in for week 3, see if they can meld with the percussion that the other person added.
If you want those drums I can drop you a stem and take off any processing going on so you can mess with them.

this is a total banger / great metal crunch in the 2nd half

did you make that artwork???  i love it!

excellent collab!

Super-cool vibe when that groove hits full steam.  You have a gift for naming tracks (my favorite title so far this year has been "Lofi Beats To Ponder Impermanence To" tongue )
