I welcome all critical feedback. Can relicense if you're interested, just ask.

This one's a little less serene.

111 BPM 9/8, F-minor. All synth sounds Multipoly. All drum sounds Analog Rytm. All guitar sounds Yamaha Revstar. All vocals my fault. No AI used in any part of the process. For this year every cover art is a photo I took.

we really got the 80s goths out with the vocals this week! love that noise section before the bridge, and then a riff in at the end for good measure?? awesome track heart

great vocals. total 80s vibe. bridge and ending, amazing

I know you said you need to work on your vocals, but those sound great. There's no "red light fever" audible, all is confident and fully in the song. They sound really good and fit the song perfectly.

Great job on working with 9/8, it's not jagged, but not smooth, very good choice for the overall theme.

There's so much earcandy, so many good parts and variations it's hard to believe you did it all in just a week. It feels like whole band's effort for way more than a week. Pure awesomeness heart

sick drums and love how the chorus is with your vocals.  oooh the break down at 1:44 such crunchy goodness.  guitars are HEAVY yais \m/ excellent track!

Great lyrics. Really enjoyed the gritty feel of this one. Very raw and real. Appropriate for the current moment, I'd say heart

Good job on the vocals, the lyrics are really evocative. The instrumentals are immaculate as usual, and the odd meter is expertly pulled off.
In terms of vocal production, I feel you could have been a little less shy with things like space, delay, distortion... It's weird how with my own stuff, I find it difficult to mangle recordings when I made them myself. big_smile

Love this electro groove and the way you belt out the vocals and then drop into a whisper: a perfect accentuation to the feel of it all! heart

Vocals forward this week! (In a good way). There's a grit there that's welcome and suits the rest of the track, and  I love the glitch effects and unexpected/elements of surprise in the arrangement, again, it suits the style, the lyrics, it all works together really well.

I admit - I wasn't paying attention to the track progress, and when we reached the end, I thought we were in a bridge lol. It's a good ending, but I think this suggests you could take this song - or the concept behind it - into a longer format.

Of particular note - that fantastic glitchy filter-bank-distortion transition at 1:41 ("collide") I could listen to for at least four times that length, even longer, as an extended performed distortion glitch bridge. Really reminded me of NIN's The Great Destroyer where the latter half of the song basically just drops the percussion into a Sherman Filterbank and destroys the hell out of it with incredible precision.... I am at a keyboard and rambling. Great track.

Sees 80’s comments while it’s loading. Expectations rise.

Listens to track.
Expectations wildly exceeded.

Whoa that 9/8 had me grooving. Pretty wild vocals while still having great intelligibility.

I like the vocal experimentations you are doing - the difference in dynamics with whispers and screams. It works! The backing track is a perfect backdrop without stepping on the toes of the vocals. Grooving to this one.

that's right

Love it, would like to hear more of this, 80’s industrial has a sweet spot for me.

I love the 80's vibe you got going here. Nice heavy guitars in the outro as well cool Good stuff!

The sections on this are fantastic - the whispers, that grand opening up at 1:48. It has the feeling of a suite in two minutes and 41 seconds. Love your vocals - fit the style perfectly and allow the message to shine. Also loved the 9:8 - and how the phrasing felt like a compound meter. A little staggered, a little off kilter. All wrapped up in a gritty 80s industrial bow. Favorited.

Love it! Great job

This was sick! I love the lyrics and vocals you did on this. The industrial metal breakdown at the end, omg.

Yooooo that kick.  Love the sound design for the voice that comes in at ~1:33... and all the drums through out, just great tone.  Really nice mix, especially on the vocal harmonies.

I've been so impressed with how many people seem to have their workflow down this year, pumping out fully-fleshed out tracks that are top quality, and this is definitely one of them. My only gripe is I wish it was longer! Amazing job!

Whoa, really cool track! Fully fleshed out production. Love the uneven meter, feels slightly unnerving and fits well with the lyrical themes. Vocal performance is superb and I love the overall goth aesthetic. Sweet synth sound design too.

As for critical feedback: more effects on the vocals could help them blend with the rest of the music a bit better. A general layer of chorus and reverb, distortion to highlight the aggressive parts, and a few hits of extreme reverbs/delays to accentuate a few of the high notes.

WAOU GREAT especially that ending I'm reminded of WB 2014 *D*i*a*g*o*n*al*, sorry I know it's not the nicest thing to make comparisons to other artists but those beats will always be right up there in my all-time top 40 so i guess what i'm trying to say is good job!
I love the vocals, they sound so calm whilst conveying urgency and outrage

Exquisite craftsmanship as usual - wonderful buildup and layering of the vocals! You continue to inspire!

This slaps. That bass synth line tickles the ears.
Everything is so clean too. Grand stuff

9/8, you hipster

Really nicely channeled the NIN influence on this one

woooah nice bridge chords! Landed a tad flat for some reason. Wonder how it would sound coming in with no drums for more contrast

Industrial vibes on this one. Good stuff. smile
