I welcome all critical feedback. Can relicense if you're interested, just ask.

For the 16th week, 4/4 was the obvious choice. So I thought: OK, how to make that interesting? Drum breaks were another obvious choice then, especially that I'm lately somewhat in a DnB phase. So, to round up the "16" theme, I went with 160 BPM then. Wish I had more time to fiddle with it, but given that I'm moving in 10 days, I'm drowning in boxes and stuff to handle. That's also why I'm hopelessly behind on listening to your work. I'm sorry!

160 BPM 4/4, F-minor into F-major. A fully analog drum kit with my fav Analog Rytm. A fully analog stereo bass with a pair of Mother-32s. Subharmonicon arp across the track. Pianoteq steinway. Yamaha TQ5 strings, leads, and glitches. No AI used in any part of the process. For this year every cover art is a photo I took.

I love the piano on this, and when that bass comes in it's chef's kiss. Great job!

Downright gorgeous, love the "halftime" breakdown, very very nice sense of progression! Great job and good luck with the move smile

Love so many sounds here. Really good arrangement too, lots of great push and pull!

really neat, great instrumentation.  like there's nothing "unusual" but the layering and entry/exit keeps little surprises throughout

Really amazing track smile

love those pads at 3:00! very bright and dreamy

oooh, that bass that comes in around 1:14...sweet stereo!!

This track feels very nondescript to me, but everything is at its right place nonetheless. The sound design is superb! The changes all feel logical and well timed. There is an overall coherence to the track. And yet, there isn't really a distinguishing feature to it. Nothing for me to hang on. Nothing that makes me say "this is this track".

Don't get me wrong, I like this track a lot. I just hit play for the 3rd time in a row. But at the same time it feels like very competently made sonic wallpaper. It's very polite. You look at it and go, that's nice wallpaper and you can see a lot of craftsmanship went into making it. Followed by immediately forgetting about it.

So yeah, my feedback would be. Do this track, but with some flaws, some scars. Something that gives it character. This stuff is way too cool to be just wallpaper. You've got the chops to pull it off, if you're so inclined.

Anyway, that's just how I feel about it. And thought I'd share it with you. Hope it's of some use to you. And if not, feel free to ignore me.

Good luck packing stuff up and moving!

this is a master piece! such a tight and clean mix !!! really impressed with the vibe and the construction of the journey ! well done

well crafted and a very pleasant listen. love the drums. ive been close to pulling the trigger on the rytm before and youre making me consider it again even though im out of room.

Cool to play with a bunch of crazy time signatures and then return to 4/4 and project your expanded rhythmic palette into that constraint

Nice piano

Gl on the move

Man I’d love to have had that drum switch at 2:19 hit harder just got there I prolly would have stacked the samples, sidechained harder, trashed the 808 more, played it out longer. Subjective. That was a nice refrain

Love that deep bassy synth carrying the chorus section. Some lovely chords from the piano and that melody trail sooo nice.  Damn and the dark drum groove with the bit crush feels that floats in heavenly pads? Yais! Amazing you're doing this all while moving.  I hope things can settle down for ya once you get moved. Awesome track that ends with triumphant hopeful feels. \m/

Dude I mean this with all the love in the world but it's such effing magic when I start listening to one of your tracks and forget what I'm listening to ... because I just get so lost in this ... just wonderful soundscape you've engineered. I also love that we make some similar music and then some really different music and have same and different tools and yet every time I'm just sitting here listening and wondering "wow how did he do that", or better yet, "I need to understand how this was made."

That mother32 bass is just ripping. I always listen before I read cuz like, I like surprises, but then reading and listening again makes me listen/look for things that might distract me from the whole composition. It's an experience. Take it in, and then listen again, really read it. This is masterful. I did subharmonicon twinkles this week and they sound nothing like the arp here and that's just ... a testament to the instrument and the musician. I am late night rambling.

This is not sonic wallpaper (yes, I am being a shady bitch tonight too) This is a careful arrangement with exploration and surprise and tension and builds and revelation and structure. And there's so much character in the mother32 bass alone, let alone the rest of the decisions you made with this track. It's a mood, it's got intention, it has context.

Great work. No notes except one: the higher pitched glassy lead towards the end is hitting some very loud resonant frequencies on my ATH-M50x headphones, which tend to emphasize the high end a little anyway, but this is something I run into on some of my own tracks and I usually have to get some kind of visualizer in the chain to see just how loud it's actually hitting. Not painful at all, just a little on the loud side for that frequency band.

heart heart heart

excellent heart

I feel like I'm running through crystal caves, chasing treasures and maybe slaying an evil monster or two!
