On Thursday, I released a 7-track EP focused on EBM, rhythmic noise and nonsense. royb0t - Cyburbia. The week prior was focused on Digital Gnosis, so after being rested and having a rush of tasks at work, this was all I focused on in the evenings until release. Admittedly pretty satisfied to get it done racing to the deadline.

For week26, the track title is a nod to work as 3 big systems/projects officially come to a close as of June 30th. Still some work/cleanup to be done, but overall feels pretty liberating. The tune itself is noisy (figuring I should stick a bit to some of that rhythmic noise when I post to Instagram that we're 50% thru the year!) The original acid line I made sounds soo much like a Polyfuse acid line. After burying it over some filters and delays there isn't too much of the original sound left. Sorta has an old skool KMFDM vibe to if for the first few measures. Then you can tell I was listening to Aufnahme+Wiedergrabe stuff. The ending reminds me a smidge of Imminent Starvation or something I'd hear at a powernoise club night.

Fun! Maybe will work on it more later this year. Who knows. You know what isn't fun though? This heat. Blek.
