Huzzah!! Howdy everyone! Back at it again for 2018 after a successful run in 2016 (also if you're curious, you can find my 2017 13-track full-lengther full of wb16 tunes here (royb0t - Gradient Ascent). big_smile So pumped!! Like then, this year's goals are to get more and more familiar with all the tools I have, use the features that will help speed up my workflow (favorites, save user patches and presets, etc), keep experimenting, and also hope to get more comfortable with singing/my own vocals further.

I spent November and December last year backing up and archiving everything. New SSD brains to my production PC, Windows 10 upgrade after being on Windows 7 for years, installed the latest version of FLStudio 12.5, finally installed my NI Komplete 11 Ultimate upgrade, and carefully reinstalled the latest versions of all my plugins just in time for the new year. So essentially a clean slate; a new beast locked and ready to rock 'n roll!

For wb01, this began with browsing a Maschine Expansion I recently got thinking I'll start going through it to favorite kits that sound rad. Wound up finding a really nice Massive bass patch, which is the backbone of the track. Picked up the mic and sang some "aahs" washed out with reverb (Eventide Blackhole, which is actually across several channels), found a sorta shimmery synth, distorted it to be sorta guitar-like, added some complimentary pieces (string, horn, piano) then of course frenetic breaks to glued it all together. Pretty satisfied with it as the starter for the year! Has some nice potential, but we'll see if it ever ends up anywhere else.

51 more tracks to go! Woo!

BRAINANTSINPANTS

feeling some Heterotic dreaminess from this, an inspiration perhaps?

Nice song, has a positive and optimistic feel!

Heyy great track. Sounding very complete. Keen to hear next weeks effort smile

Really cool breaks bouncing around that main bass synth.  Congrats on getting the album done from the 2016 tracks.  I was hoping to have a similar productive year and instead I just was lazy tongue Nice work!

this is right up my street. The street down which a synth is driving and...er, some breaks are crossing the road. Or something.

Dark and fricking rad.

I really like the energy, good vibes dude heart

nice groove, cool robotics in the 808 State/KW-style. Catchy!
