dawn after infinity (030120_060bpm)

I began a few songs across the week, but none really felt compelling enough to complete - unfortunately I don't have a choice, haha! I started this off with the intent of writing something ambient with pads, but it evolved into a larger cinematic piece. A surprisingly calm and hopeful sounding. Chalking it up to an incredibly stressful and busy month concluding (the a/v performance, a huge presentation/showcase day with tech nonsense, my boss' retirement party and dinner) plus the end of February (always the toughest part of winter, I feel, happy to see the glimpse of warm spring weather ahead).

It was definitely a race against the clock - I didn't find the right pizzicato strings I was hearing in my head, I'm sure there are some clashing frequencies, maybe a better woosh-boom, and probably could've added a bit more dynamic performance to the main melody. Ah well.

I'm ready for it to be May already, hah.

is that screech brakes? like the crowd. is there a mix of beach sounds? lots of stuff going on. enjoying it.

I can tell you couldn't find the right pizzicato strings, these are staccato, pizzicato are plucked.

Wonderful composition though, those tags are spot on.

This is super cinematic indeed.  Reminds me a bit of Philip Glass meets Cliff Martinez especially with the added bass to support the strings.  I think the staccato strings fit nicely.  Well done!

The longing synths are amazing...an ever reaching note climb.  And the foley found sound adds to dawn
