play them straight

Been hanging wallpaper so it's been a bit chaotic but I managed to find a couple of hours just now for a quick jam in Reaper using plugins only. It is actually the first time I've actually tried that big_smile

This could be a nice tune, it has good groove, but this sounds like a draft - no intro, little development, too short. I wonder why many ppl here treat their songs like that.

Thanks for the feedback. It really is only a draft... Finding time to do it is a constant struggle. Maybe instead of weeklybeats I should do monthlybeats lol

Then again, if I was not doing weeklybeats I may not even have drafts right now! It has given me a reason to make and release something even if I am not proud of it. I expect many other people are in the same boat.

Great bass sound, great crunchy drums, love the intro then in to the main groove. Great track!

I think its admirable that you put yourself out there like this week after week. It's hard when you've got a million things on your plate, and to put yourself out there knowing that people could respond critically takes courage. The purpose of wB is to learn, grow, have a good time, and challenge ourselves. I personally would not put any stock in the feedback of anyone who doesn't seem to understand that.

I think that this is nice and low key, and has some cool sound design. I think there's definitely room to build off of it, if you wanted to take it further. A nice lead might do a lot for that, or it could lend itself to some lounge vocals really well. That said, I think it's already nice as is - plenty of awesome albums will have these little vignette tracks in between songs for a nice breather. Keep it up! I'm glad you're here, and are still showing up even when things get tough.

I really like the beat, bass tone and ideas here. Sure it could be even more "finished", but hey, this is what you got last week! This is pretty good!

If was "finished" enough for this Weekly Beat. Keep it UP!

love the sound of that bass and feeling that groove. The first comment is a rarity in this community and doesn't deserve a response.  This is and will always be a supportive and friendly community.  Keep on keepin' on! \m/

Really digging that groove.
