hooray cutesy future bass! but not really? i think the constant low-key movement as opposed to build-drop-build-drop structuring leads to a suitably mellow feel. love how kinetic the bass is in this! awesome piano

Lovely! Super jammy! I don't think it needs more side instrument... but the mix could be better balanced to get the best of each instruments.
Thanks for calling that out. Mixing is one of the things I really want to learn more about this year. Could you give me some specific advice what I could improve? Could I do more panning, does it sound cluttered or empty in places, etc. I'd love to know

In order of appearance in the track... Drums at the beginning are nice, the squary arp could be louder, brass and sub are nice, perks would come out better with an high pass filter / eq (a lot of the content is blended in the brass). Or boosting the mid-high or high frequencies. Try it with an eq, the perks should pop out a little with more high frequencies. The second drum sound a bit... Man I actually quite love the mix... The guit could be larger stereo wise (try a few ms delay on the R of L channel only), bass sound super good with the drums, but some eq and compression could make it stand out I think. Just more reverb and compression on the guit and piano (try compressing the reverb also). The clap over the drum is a bit loud for my taste as it covers the cool dynamics/transients of the drums. The second square arp could be a lot louder, it's fun and we want to hear it more! The perks/bongos over the drum could also stand out more with some eq-ing. Or you could remove some frequencies in the drums when the perks comes in. This all require some experiment though, and all my comments are purely based on my personnal taste and subjective ears! Love the track!
