Started to mess around with the Push 2 again (I produce in Ableton, rarely use midi devices now) so aimed to do this week all on the device. So this isn't arranged, I recorded some parts then did it one take within the Session mode triggering the clips. Wasn't as diabolic as I'd expected, but with no really arrangement or transitions things just happen. One of the main things I like with Weekly Beats is you can divorce from being too precious about each track and just experiment.

I just ordered a Push 2!  I am very excited.  Any pro tips?

I love the kick + hihat combo you've got here.  Love the metallic noises swirling around this huge beat.  Nice job!

Thanks, re the Push, it's not the most intuitive so takes a bit of getting used too but once there actually is very quick to work with. I watched a bunch of tutorials on youtube and searched a lot to crack some general guides to start with. Then I forced myself to use it alone for a few tracks (which was frustrating, it's a bit like writing with the wrong hand to start with) but made sure I had to crack how to get around it.
