most stories are the stories that are never told

I am back with more gameboy music with vocals playing on the actual gameboy. I started this one last week right after finishing the previous one and it went pretty quickly.

This one is pretty simple really. The vocals are me, processed, pitch and formant shifted. Drums and Juno 60 chord samples (Tal-U-No 62, which incidentally, sounds remarkably accurate! I used to have a Juno 60 and foolishly sold it in 2017 to buy an Octatrack mk 2. Naturally, not long after that the price of Junos really skyrocketed lol).

Playing on 1 instance of LSDJ. I will flesh out the arrangement with a second gameboy for the album.

Lyrics! (It amuses me to post lyrics for a 1xLSDJ song lol)

Climb the mountain
Never tell
Throw your last dollar
Down into a wishing well

Explore the depths
Make no maps
Blow out a candle
When you reach the darkest path

Don’t light ‘em up
They’ll never know
Most stories are
The stories that are never told

that made me heads-up! nice chippytuneyTune! Weird vocals but they work anyhow/way... smile props|!!

This is really nice, that sampled Juno goes so well! I will never understand how you get this much from 1 x LSDJ

Cool use of the lsdj sample

Wave channel master right here!

I really like the lyrics on this one, and the first time the arps come in is cool as well. Release an album version of this for sure. Looking forward to it.

I really really like this, vocals are awesome, track really slaps, chords hit great, lead is really carefree and fun. Love it!

Amazing vibes with this and excellent programming with just the right amount of glitchyness.  Can't wait for a whole album of these vocal LSDJ tracks

This is top quality stuff, wow, well done. I love the vocals yet again. When the energy peaks it's just unbelievable, great groove and production. I wouldn't have imagined this was 1x LSDj.

Beautiful work.
I love the vocals/lyrics.

This feels like a singular work. Something so unique about it!

Love the glitched out parts, the way you handle arps etc. The track is superb.

Ooh, that's a sick melody.

Thanks! So far Juno samples seem to work really well in LSDJ. What you hear in these tunes are the samples that worked, and not all the bajillion things I tried that sounded like 4bit garbage lol. It's a process XD

Thanks! Yeah, this one is definitely going to get fleshed out a bit with a second LSDJ part and go on the album.

Thanks! That lil lego keytar dude is my jamming buddy lol

The structure is infectious in the way it builds excitement through each section. Love those lyrics, too!

I was really enjoying that catchy vocal melody at the start, but then the rest kicked in!!!! Excellent track!

Juno-60 for an octatrack, ouch! great song. Very well put together song. Love seeing the Game Boy pushed like this. The results speak for its self.

Hella fun track!

Yooo this is wild . Can I rap on one !!!!!

octatrack is always the better purchase tho smile

impressive vocals - this is a banger!
