The Purge

By Reino on March 22, 2020 8:01 pm

I don't even know how to describe what I just did here.  It's called "The Purge" because this is how I felt making it during these mad quarantine times. If you make it past the first half you will reach the tranquil waters of the second half. Enjoy and please comment!

Digging the major-key progression here, and that pipe lead voice is super-nice for this.

I like the extended and hypnotic intro.  It might be my laptop speakers, but the drums in the second part could hit a bit harder.  The chill vibe of this part is really nice.  Great melody there.

Wow, that first part makes the second part feel real uneasy. It's such a jolly time, too.

Thank you!  My formal music training is close to zero so coming up with chord progressions is one of the hardest parts for me, I do it mostly by ear and on major/natural minor keys.  But I've been studying to try to improve it.

Thanks for the comment, man.  Will take a closer look at those drums.  I always make notes about what could be fixed on the tracks I post here.
