Triangulating Coordinates

This tune was fleshed out from an experiment I started for a new arts project I'm involved in.  I didn't want the ideas to go to waste so here it is.

you are playing nicely with contrasts, the dreamy melody is struggling with the distorted noises until the heavy glitchy beat takes over. A shame, if this ideas would have gone to waste. where is the tape involved in this project?

Thanks mate! I always experiment with a bunch of new ideas before a new project starts (if time permits) so yes, it was nice to create a complete piece from what I had.  The 'tape' comes into the processing of some of the sounds.  A very lofi tape quality to it.  No real tape in the recording unfortunately. Hopefully in a future one!

This high glitchy lead at the start sounds like it's on the border of going out of control. It's interesting how this track turns into a dreamy piece when the strange watery keyboard enters the stage. I like this track a lot, it would have been a shame to lose it, it has its own little world. There are invasions from glitchy dimensions midpoint. Really interesting ideas.

Thanks man, appreciated!  I'm a fan of delicate sounds that are on the edge of chaos.  A sound that's delicate but if you push it that bit further, it explodes chaotically.  smile

Wow the contrast at 2m40 with the hard sounding percussive element. Cool stuff.

Remarkable how the reprise of the opening at the end functions differently: after all the "piano" and "drums" (I really like everything about the drum sounds here), the material sounds new while retaining familiarity -- and this remained effective on subsequent listens. Excellent work!

Really cool distortion and effects.  The main synth chords gave me some noir cinematic vibes.  Woah the drums are awesome!  A nice contrast to the synths.  Nice work!

Thanks man!  I take it the drums grabbed your attention. Haha.  I was pleasently surprised the contrast worked well.  Cheers!
