The Final Minutes

By rdomain on June 15, 2014 3:16 am

A piece based on a performance I'll be doing the night this song is released.

'12 string acoustic', prepared 7 string and analog synths.  A musical response to the final minutes of the Jonestown Massacre.

Man this is incredible. I was listening to it thinking "I wonder who this is? This is awesome!" while doing other things, then came back, and it was you. Great work. What's the performance?

Very atmospheric & ominous. Now I have to look up the Jonestown Massacre.

Thanks heaps!  It's with my duo called Rebels Without Applause.  Myself on guitars and electronics and Derek Pascoe on tenor sax.  We usually improvise to various forms of human speech.  This one happens to be a dark one  smile  Tonight at The Wheatsheaf for any SA folk.  Supporting the talented Zephyr Quartet.

Thanking you Mr Mort.  I haven't heard of Daniel Leopatin but I'll be sure to have a suss!

Oh, and if anyone wants to keep up to date with my various projects, head to http://www.facebook.com/rdomain and give it a liking to stay in the loop.  Cheers!

From the guitar intro and all the way through to the end: this is a wonderful and atmospheric piece of music. Simply amazing.
Unfortunately The Wheatsheaf is a bit too far away from Norway for me to catch your performance.

Whoa! Now where did I leave my pitcher of Flavor Aid?  This is one of the best pieces on WB this year.

Thanks.  Appreciated!  I'm planning on going to Iceland again next year.  Would be nice to make it to Norway too!
