Spiritual Apathy

By rdomain on May 1, 2022 9:10 am

Sticking to some serious bass and drum tones again but this time bringing in the modular synth and guitar for the atmos and 'melody'.  Experiments in dub and loose grooves.

That crunchy bass and these drums feel like a tribal, primitive, Stone Age ceremony. The layers around bring a sense of mystery, of anxiety. Great to see the guitar again bringing some unearthly wailing, like a wounder animal in the distance. Very cinematic and intense, loved it!

I associate this tunes with a cruel power that comes from below, which clashes with bright lights, coming from above. In the zone between this energies, the consciousness tries to exist. It is a cinematic drama in my mind, that is going on in a very impressive way.

Busy week for me, I heard this track at work, listening w/ headphones mostly blindly. I scribbled "spirit apathy: eat the bass" and left it at that. Makes a lot more sense that it's rdomain's work, which explains flawless sound design and the mf groove of this. Darkly thing, starting with the title, but attractive af: nothing about this is apathetic sounding heart

Love the sound of that guitar and the dark industrial vibes.  Those extra plucky bassy tones are just \m/ smile
