One take modular synth piece.  No edits.  No software.  Featuring two new modules I built this week doing all the rhythmic duties.  Good bye 808 sounds.  I had fun while it lasted trying to make you not sound like 808s.

Turn up the volume.

Excellent track! The rhythmic parts work incredibly well, sounds like great work on the new modules

Dude this is superb. Well done! I'm serious considering this modular synth thing. But I think max/pd/etc are enough. smile

Nice!! really dynamic sound. are those deleays and reverbs also hw?
btw.those synthrotek modules look really nice..

Aptly titled! Great sounds and mix.

Nice resonators.. Any pictures, by the way?. This should be hot on Muffwiggler

Thanks mate!  The new modules are more 'synth drums' as opposed to strictly 808 circuitry so much more flexible with regards to tone.

Man, for me the modular synth format is it.  I can just spend hours creating and it's fun!  The outcome is so organic and unique.  There's no saving a sound for later so it's always different which helps with your creative output because you have to record the performance patch if you want to hear it exactly like that again!  Or for archival purposes.  I can't recommend the format enough.  Be prepared to spend a lot of money once the bug bites though.  My rig is pricey but it's been a work in motion for over 2 years.  It's still continuing  smile     ps.   do it.

Thanks dude!  Yep the delays and reverbs are hardware too.  The reverb is mostly from the Eventide Space pedal and the delays are mostly the Makenoise Echophon with some extra glitch work from the Tiptop Audio Z-DSP.  Definitely digging the DS-Ms.  Perfect for what I do  smile  And they don't take up as much space as other flexible drum modules which means I can fit more in my live rig!

Cheers man!  I'll link up a 15 second vid of the patch.  Although it's a different performance but you can at least see what it looks like and how flexible the patch is.  I haven't posted this on Muffs yet.  Trying to stay away from it currently because I have no money!  haha.  Recorded another song out last night which I might post up on Muffs.  It's a modification of this patch.  I'll be developing this patch for my next live performance.  smile

Here's the same patch but a different performance and settings.

The latest incarnation is on my instagram account also if you want to have a listen.  Really happy with the development.

Very structured & lots of space: it sounds great. Analog or digital tools, the real instrument is the pair of ears: yours is sensitive and forward thinking!
