Ghost Caller

By rdomain on May 16, 2026 6:59 am

A loop created on the OP-1 Field which is then also looped on the Microcosm with the Oto Boum and Bam on the end of chain.  911 phone recording sourced from Youtube.  The phone recording is pretty dark so it's slightly hidden in the mix which is also effective sonically and conceptually.

damn, dude

Oh wow that one is haunting. The mix of the generous pads and the barely heard conversations is pure magic.

Haha, yeah;  I hear ya.  Whilst on the search for the perfect phone call, there was one that was so fucked.  I couldn't even listen to it all.  Just heartbreaking stuff.  I do not recommend going down that rabbit hole.  I just had the sound of that for the track in my head so it had to be done.  smile

Thanks mate.  Appreciated!  I think the barely audible element enhances that haunting feeling.  It's amazing how subtle tweaks can make a big difference.

Haunting, a very intense listen with the distress of that phonecall.
The space left after the call is finished, but the pads continue is very eerie.

What a lovely soundscape, I could listen to this on repeat, its dark but I hear so much beauty in this.  That is an impressive effects chain, could get lost in playing with those units.

Yes, I know what you mean.  Suits the subject matter a little too well.  smile

Thank you!  I'm a big fan of beauty within the darkness.  Seeing light from the shadows.  As for the fx, it's not a massive fx chain but super powerful and they all sound great.  I love the OTO pedals.  I'd like to get the delay pedal one day but they're so damn expensive and the other two are more suited to my regular go tos.  Totally can get lost playing in that fx chain heart
