Is neo-horror a thing? At first I was thinking it had a deep neo-noir vibe but then as it progressed it was as if this were the soundtrack to some futuristic movie where someone happens across some horrific sight which culminated at the large bass swell towards the end.
More of an acousmatic landscape (synthesized field recording, if you like).
A soundtrack for a very dark sci-fi movie. And a great musical journey in itself.
Huge sound. I like Jim's idea of a synthesized field recording. Field recordings of a virtual place that no one has ever seen. This is like a movie without the pictures. Very cool, especially played live on a modular set up.
