Nice mood man, digging the live feel - nice and dynamic

very good!!!

Nice work dude, ominous and brooding, with awesome analog sounds.

So good! Finger-licking sound design.
Reminds me of some of the best pieces from Perihelion on the Amiga.

Thanks for the feedback.  Glad you're all digging it!

It's definitely a live feel as it's all done in real time with minimal edits if any.  And you can't beat the analog tones.  Love it!  smile

such darkness. love it, really cinematic

Thanks melt unit!

If it was done live then was well rehearsed. I enjoy the song-like structure of piece climaxing twice with shrieking tones. It rewards the listener and invites to repeat.

oh - i like this atmosphere a lot! best from vienna, c

This piece reminds me of a desolate and perilous landscape. The shrieking timbres are the icing on the cake for me. Nice one!

Marco - Thanks for the kind words.  All was done live and it wasn't well rehearsed per say.  I spent a long time meticulously designing the patch though and I knew what the patch was capable of.  I recorded one improvised take and then I did another improvised track over what I just did.  Minor edits and mixing and voila.  smile

Thanks chra and Lyons.  Those shrieking timbres are a whisper away from total chaos on the modular!  I love working on that delicate fringe of sound.  Very rewarding.  Glad you liked it.

yeah, great atmospehere! Nicely mixed!

Cool track, I really like the flow to it. Makes me think of Resident evil or Silent Hill, I can imagine it sitting well in the films or games.

just beautiful!! fantastic timbres and development

you got a fantastic sound on this track, well done. i like working the way you described to Marco. "Alone in Vegas" piano was looped, then played over in one take, edited/arranged and printed.

intense!

Thank you all for the kind words.  I'm stoked you all appreciate the intricacies of the sound design and enjoy the flow of where this atmosphere takes you.  Next week, something completely different!  The drones and textures will return and make constant appearances though.  smile

nice drones and tones.

heart This is awfully good stuff.  Dense, rich, sinewy textures with lovely timbres and some nice dynamic events.  Beautifully mixed.  Hearing lots of Deaf Centre in this.  Very cinematic (paging Armetyev via Tarkovsky) wink

really nice tune. Reminds me of a soundtrack I am currently working on for a game called "Dusk of D.A.W.N."
Maybe you feel like checking the soundtrack out. If you are into it I would love to make one track together with you now that I think about it smile

Ahhhh.... real filters.  They scream and whisper in ways digital ones don't.  Cool panning - loving the sound :-)

Even in mp3, beautiful analog sounds!

Very "Badalamenti" smile

More good stuff from one of my favourite wb2k12 artists wink

Beautiful sound and atmosphere, excellent track!

Wow.  I've been away for a few days and haven't been online.  Thanks for all the kind words!

Old spooky - Cheers!
TLR - Glad you were able to soak it all up.  Appreciated.
Cloudjumper - Cheers, will do!
cTrix - Amen to analog filters.  They cannot be beat. Glad you dug the tune!
Spacey tree - Thanks.  I render as high as possible to try and keep the analog sound.
Reptuno(?) - Nice.  I'm a bit of a Lynch fan so thank you  smile
sinewave - Haha, cheers matey!
Plantrain - Thanks!

Oh nice! It somewhat remembers me of when you get to Ravenholm in Half-Life 2... same king of dark ambiance.

Haha, sweet!  Thanks for the description RawTicks.

Really enjoyed the track. Downloading a bunch of stuff from your bandcamp. Keep it up!
