Civilisation Will Fall

By rdomain on April 13, 2024 11:13 pm

Modular synth piece performed in real time.  Generative beats sequenced via the Chaos module into LXR Drum.  Lead line is Voltage Block controlled manually into Ataraxic Translatron.  Reverb and filters added to taste.

HEAVY beat, tasty overdrive. great work

I adore those harsh beats. they are shortly before getting groovy, but they don’t reach it. The rest is already floating and elevated. This is a nice contrast.

Thanks for the feedback!

crunchy goodness! it's intense, but mixed so well it doesn't overwhelm in a bad way. nice one!

Oh man, I love everything about the "lead" type synth voice that first comes in around 0:40... the movement through the stereo field, the bit of the voice, the genuinely epic reverb tail that follows it... it's like speed boat cutting around through dark industrial ocean swell, leaving a wake a mile long.  Such a great soundscape overall... I feel like it would fit nicely with an dark future, action platform shooter... Like if someone tried to make Blasphemous in a Metroid setting maybe...

Is that Clank Chaos on the drums? The movement in the bladerunner-esque lead is fantastic. Really coherent sense of space and positioning in this piece, which can be challenging in modular, really nice work!

I love your control over your music, this is huge sounding but not fatiguing in any way, listening on headphones and everything just sits in the mix so well.  Listening to this while looking out the window at Mountains blanketed with low lying clouds and mist, light snow starting to fall, brilliant soundtrack to the visuals.

Clank is definitely doing the drums and also a bunch of other CV things (can't recall now).  It's a great module.  And thanks!

Awesome.  Yes, I'm not one for fatiguing sounds but I love pushing sounds to the extreme as well as super lush and minimal.  Great visual too.  Cheers!
