Biting Tongues

I really love how inspiring I find hardware.  Like a lot of my tracks, I probably wouldn't have created something like this if I was simply creating in the box.

The Oxi One was sequencing everything with the help of Split 2.  The other gear was the Pulsar 23 into the Chroma Console and the Oxi Coral into Clouds. This was recorded into 2 channels of Ableton where the final mix and master happened.  There were no structural edits as this was recorded in one take.

The beat has a huge sound, i really like how gritty and powerful it sounds. The second half has some great static and fuzzy sounds.

Thanks mate.  A large part of the drum sound is because it's all the Pulsar 23.  Love that thing.  It had a subtle effect from the Chroma Console but that was only dialled in at about 25%.  The Pulsar 23 has a drive circuit built in for the entire mix and the kick has it's own drive circuit too.

Awesome sound design, it feels absolutely huge! Loving all the amazing sounds during the open mid section. Great job at building tension in that part.
Beats are super solid too, tastefully overdriven and super groovy.

wow, i really got lost in that one. excellent sonic storytelling.
agree w/ Dustsucker, that middle section was really effective at drawing in.
