Tried my hand at New Jack Swing. It’s fairly basic, tried adding a bunch cool and fun extra stuff but for some reason didn’t sit well. Will definitely be making more affer doing more thorough research(going on a NJS binge)

Sample fun facts
The Orchestra Hit sample was pulled from Mega Man Battle Network 6 on the GBA
Used a couple samples (Acoustic Bass for bass layer and Guitar for the melody at :35) from the YM2413/OPLL sample pack created by littlescale.
The brass is from Plok on the SNES
and a reverse snare in there from Grounseed on the PC98

Love the use of the synth bass and orch hits. Didn't realize it was from MMBN, totally had those early 90s vibes too. I personally thought everything sat perfectly together in the mix. The groove of this was extra fun to hear. Well done!
