Rap Jardin

By RawTicks on May 11, 2014 1:37 pm

After using a rap acapella from The Beatknocks last week to make my track, I decided to kick it up a notch and actually try to rap myself. It turns out it's not as easy as I thought. I never use my voice to make music (except for that death metal track in one of the first week). I realized how much I was not in control of my voice in the process. But it turns out it's much more fun to do than I initially thought, too. Even writing the text was fun. One of my friend (Don Pertinence) joined me for the exercise, and we say a lot of stupid shit (in french - quebec slang) and some of it might be a bit offensive. I laughed a lot while making that track, and it might just be the most fun I had since starting Weekly Beats. There will be more of it!

Haha! Well we talk about pimping our gardening tools and being a star chef who has a hard time firing up the BBQ, having three shifters, not trusting vinaigrette, going to Nazareth, and having many gigs of ram. And that's only in the first two sentences.

I'm really digging this!

Chamber rap? Your rap delivery is very good. Good mix, too.

Not understanding a single word, but it's still groovy as hell!

Thanks everyone for listening and taking the time to comment!

I don't understand it, but there's something undeniably cool about hearing French rapping.  Dig the backing beat as well.

Sadly I don't remember most of the French I learned in school, but I do know this sounds dope!  You certainly have rhyme skills, the vocals match very well with the beat
