i only had 6 hours to do this one in, but i guess it sounds almost like a cohesive whole(then again, any track i've ever made could claim to be incomplete... i dunno... i didn't expect to get this far, so it sounds more surprisingly complete than i anticipated).

some max patches were harmed during the recording process but none of them were ever on the endangered species list so there's no cause for concern or alarm mad
the rest was done in renoise(using Tal-J-8, Aalto, and VCV Rack plugins for some of the synthesized sounds and recordings of me playing guitar through the Valhalla Supermassive reverb plugin).
hope ya like, and hope you're enjoying some warmth in the middle of whatever wintry wonderland you may be wandering through or residing in at the moment smile

shiver towards the light!

This creates a palpable sense of tension and puts me a bit on edge a bit.  I can see how that could be similar to that adrenaline feeling of skidding on ice in a car.  Glad you made it safe and hope you're able to eventually settle in happily to your new adopted city.

I'm sitting in the engine room of a space ship, eavesdropping on a tense situation between my abductors. Would also require some calm and bravery, I'd argue.
Hope you get all the annoying stuff out of the way and get to settle soon, good luck!

Really tense indeed, but very cool, nice job!

The percussion is so 3D, your sample work has become a real sonic sculpture, it feels like it requires real space in front of me to unfold

Love the artifact-y stutters. Yes it's a very satisfying build of tension against the guitar. Great beat

Very rad deconstructed vibe.

I really like this! The drums go really hard and the guitar samples surprise with how well they fit the otherwise alien percussive soundscape. This is way way way rad.

I read you moved to Michigan on the last comment of your WB01 and that’s way dope. California transplant tip of the hat! I’d love to come out to Detroit play a gig with you sometime if you can eventually make it happen, would be insane to play that city in particular! There are some chip folks I met in nanoloop community who told me I should come to Detroit, too (but they’re strangers are you’re not!)

Dang dude, crazy about ice roads—glad to hear you’re okay. My second year in Seattle the winter ice was unmanaged by the city which I only found out by having to run a red light to prevent myself from sliding down the hill I rode up on. I didn’t know wtf to do after—do I slide on home or do I risk going all the way to Redmond and I chose the latter which in retrospect was moronic but worked out anyway (ice melted during the day enough for me to drive rather than slide on down into my apartment complex parking garage…)

Stay safe above all else and massive kudos / visitation threats about Detroit adventure!

Huge low end in my headphones, nice! Great movement, and overall feels a good chill voyage, ice, but some warmth. Crazy ice driving you had, scary!

this is nice and heavy, its hard to describe but thats why I like it

Musical fishtailing! Love the off-kilter feel of the beat. Definitely has that feel of swerving about and not knowing where you’ll stop. Love it!

Ooooh, the sonics here are just mindblowing!

Super cool / unreal vibes ... as usual? smile Great to hear your stuff again! Happy 2026! XD

Yeah, sometimes you only have a couple of hours. But most of those times I wouldn't expect such a good result as what you achieved here. The collage of the rerererepeated beats with the jazz guitar, dreamy pads, and subtler e-piano glitches is excellent. It sounds alien and unique, but also pleasant and relatable.

Six hours well spent!

love those opening drums that hit so nicely and then blend with the trippy guitars! i hope the roads are less icy this year heart

This is great! I love how glitchy everything is. Glad you made your trip safe too (A month late but still glad all the same)

oh GOD dude welcome to the midwest *360º car spin on ice*

glad you are okay

hope to play a show with you in MI sometime soon!!!!

love the drum sound on this track.  good clear live sound
