i only had 6 hours to do this one in, but i guess it sounds almost like a cohesive whole(then again, any track i've ever made could claim to be incomplete... i dunno... i didn't expect to get this far, so it sounds more surprisingly complete than i anticipated).

i recently took 4 cross-country trips from California to Michigan(this is 4400+ miles round trip, times 4 = more than 17000 miles driven), just to move all my stuff to my friend's house in Kalamazoo, Michigan, where i will wait for some financial shit to settle before i eventually make another move, myself, to Detroit, where i hope to settle for the rest of my life(i just decided i love the city and its culture so i'm absolutely sure i will enjoy living there ongoing).
the 2nd two car trips involved me driving my rear-wheel-drive car through icy snow(no snow tires, no all-wheel-drive, and no snow chains, just bare street tires on icy roads). a couple times, i fishtailed(skidding 45º to the left, then 45º to the right trying to correct but overcompensating, etc...) but still eventually managed to get the car straight back on the road without any incidents. this song, though hard to explain in words, made me feel a similar feeling i felt while driving, as though i'm "shivering into the light": a kind of terrified feeling that forces you to acquire bravery, calm, and stillness right at that moment. hence i named the track such a random title, haha
some max patches were harmed during the recording process but none of them were ever on the endangered species list so there's no cause for concern or alarm
the rest was done in renoise(using Tal-J-8, Aalto, and VCV Rack plugins for some of the synthesized sounds and recordings of me playing guitar through the Valhalla Supermassive reverb plugin).
hope ya like, and hope you're enjoying some warmth in the middle of whatever wintry wonderland you may be wandering through or residing in at the moment
shiver towards the light!
