On Ice

Still playing around with the new studio strings in Logic Pro X 10.4. I tried out the studio horns, but they didn't fit. Seems a little more geared towards pop/rock/jazz rather than subtle orchestral arrangements, so I tried the Aria Sounds solo horn (from the bundle I got before) and was much happier with the result.

Very evocative!

Really beautiful piece, indeed! I'd love to be able to program that. Your orchestal skills are quite impressive. It has a Lalo Schffrin-esque vibe, particularly on the opening groove smile

I just listened too all your tracks as "New Toy" was the track that captured me at first. I'm intrigued by your music as you have so many unique elements in it, no loops can be easily heard. That's something I'd personally like to get better at. I think my favourite one is "Radio Currents". It also gave me the idea of using 'delay' in orchestral tracks. It all sounds great!

Nice tension going on.

Thank you. smile
Ya! You know, I wasn't consciously thinking of him, but I do love his scores - good call on that one.

Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed the tracks.

You're right, there aren't any loops. I do occasionally use Logic's drummer track to generate a rhythm loop. However, I usually rip it apart or manipulate it enough so it isn't the stock setting. There's nothing against loops, but as you can tell with your ears, they can be identified by those "in the know" of common loop libraries.

Delay is quite possibly my favorite effect. As a guitarist, I own a number of delay pedals and love creating layers of sound.
