In The Workshop

By r2me2 on January 7, 2018 9:18 pm

Glad to see WeeklyBeats is back! This will be my third time participating and I'm planing to try out some different things. To kick off the new year, I'm starting with an orchestral/indie style track meant for a production cue. Some of the instruments are new to my sound library, so I'm testing them out. My workflow will be changing as well - I'm using Logic (rather than Reason, which is what I used mostly in the previous years).

This is super cool! Reminds me a little of an OST to a game or something

Subdued intensity. I can see this as dramatic support.

Loving the motion of the bass and cello on this over the driving percussion.  Very intensely atmospheric!

nice strings!

This music definitely gives me the feeling that something intricately planned is about to happen

This sounds exciting, lead instrument especially. More of this please. wink

This would make such a killer opening credits theme!

Wow, muted pianos sound pretty neat.

Thanks. Glad you like the atmosphere. I'm always trying to have that be an important element overall.

Thank you (nice gif) Lately, I've been on the hunt for strings that sound natural or can blend with other instruments.

Ya! I got that Aria Sounds bundle that was on sale recently and didn't even realize that was one of the featured instruments. It's fun to play and surprisingly useful.

Really nice intrincated piece. It builds the perfect amount of tension

Now a not so related "knit/thread" GIF smile
