ten seconds

this week I discovered the record label obscure by Brian Eno. there are only ten nice recordings, that touched my deeply. the work of Gavin Bryars, Michael Nyman, Harold Budd, Brian Eno and others have some similarity to my way of feeling music, though it comes from the years 1975-78, it still sounds timeless and fresh. I already found "the pavillion of dreams" last december an all time favorite of my record collection, but did not know anything about the label. the best thing about obscure is, the songs are nearly 30 minutes long. now I feel very pleased to record and arrange my stuff with a reminiscence. there are modern OP-1 sounds in my track as well, because I love the chaotic vibe too.

i love how this chills out into a pensive space later, makes me reminisce about the beginning, and flips the timeline of my own experience of it around itself(it’s the sign of a thoughtfully evocative track that paces itself so well i get lost in remembering it before it’s even done) smile heart

I was blissing out to the beginning and then got startled when the chaotic elements came in suddenly.  It became a vastly different experience than I thought I was getting into, but still cool.  I got blissful again later but now I was on my guard.  It felt like it was turning slightly ominous near the end and the quiet spoken word part was a cool touch.  It was a cool journey you took us on with some unexpected twists and turns.

Great space you created here, love the piano and subtle tape effects.

Ambient Music For AirPods:) I really enjoyed this! I’m going to check out that record label, I’ve been in a Brian Eno listening mood lately.

super nice layers and glitches !!! first part I thought it was gonna be easy listening in the background but when glitches come in, not so much big_smile  but as a piece it is interesting and deep. I like it!

Lots of good flavors in here but I think the piano taped over the old movie is my favorite.

Fascinating stuff with plenty of variety, I take it you were inspired by them this week?

Love the sound of the wavey pads.  Gave me some Boards of Canada vibes along with the Eno influence.  Those low piano chords are lovely with the higher notes.  Really soothing progression.

Beautiful intro, was surprised in the best way with the glitches dropping in, was not expecting that, you have a great skill at building and developing your songs each week, never know how it's going to unfold and the patience in listening is always rewarding.

not familiar with obscure, but as Tone also has mentioned, the first part reminded me to boards of canada. the hi tech abstract beat autechery drop came as an unexpected suprise. nice piano outro as well

Dreamy. I had some friends over at my studio last Tuesday and we were listening to this track and your track from last week (One of my favorites of the year).  Great to chill out to with other musicians over a few drinks. They dug it smile

Awesome. The little burbling details capture the attention, the wavey rich pads wrap up in a warm hug. Changes come are welcome evolutions. Nicely done. I have not heard that label, but love Eno, I'll have to check it out.

I can't believe you only just discovered some of these albums.  They're some of my favourite ambient albums. Those recordings have not aged a day.  Still so sublime.  Mostly talking about Eno/Budd stuff.

Your tracks takes lots of interesting shifts and turns. Very lovely sounds scattered through out with moments of madness.
