november rain

By Q-Rosh on December 20, 2020 6:14 pm

Last week I uploaded a track with the cool bassline "senior blues", I sampled from the record "games guitars play" by Harvey Mandel. I very much like his work as a guitarplayer and highly recommand the record "cristo redentor", which is as old as I am. This week I was still digging in old cassette-recordings and I stumbled over this piece of music I did in a session with my friend casio casino in his studio. He had an old piano, Farfisa organ, an old guitar and I was jamming on all those inspiring instruments. He recorded a beat to this et voila, I had my own Harvey Mandel song. It`s bluesrockish with psychedelic and jazzy elements. Good to have a beer with it.

Yeah this is super groovy and rhythmically fresh. Lot of nice interplay between the piano and the guitars. You must have been pretty pleased to rediscover this smile, I would have been

Very nice jam. Sounds pretty good.

Love this. It's got a great nostalgic feel driving it that comes out really strong in the guitar playing.

Yeah, this is cool.  That guitar sound is great.  I was convinced at first there was some sort of vocoder or maybe a talk box going on, but it's just the way the different sounds combine it almost sounds like there are words, which is a really cool effect.

Love it! The mixing and arrangement is top notch.

I love the sound you're getting there. This really feels like a very cool jam in a small club. I can picture the drummer with a huge smile. The keys are just right and the guitar (reverted guitar?) is awesome. I love this, this feels real, this is organic, this is music that breathes and lives.

Also I did not expect that genre from the title.
(why did the guy jump onto the cake???)

Another great find, the play between the piano and guitar works so well, will have to check out the record you recommended, listening right before bedtime, so will have to delay the beer until tomorrow.

Great composition, bringing it all together. It's not even November.

Good times. That groove is just right, and all the little jazzy elements and riffing add so much to catch the ear. The little bits of weird, psych elements make it so much more than just a straight rocking thing! Yeah I wanna kick back with some friends and a beer with this. It's got that kind of barroom jam feel. Great work, sound like a fun jam with good end result for sure.

Great jam! Such nice tones in there. Loving these old recordings.

It is hard for me to notice this effect. Maybe your speakers are broken? But still I appreciate this comment very much. Thank you

Thank you sir. The mix was done in a good studio, with my friend casio casino on the buttons.

Thank you for your nice comment. But I have no idea, why the guy hits the cake.

It was recorded on a rainy Novemberday. It is the trick I remember songs.

Thank you for listening. And I love the fact, you noticed the weird, psych elements.

Some of the old recordings are horrible, some are OK and some, after 20 years I can say, are timeless.
Thank you and all the best for 2021!

Damn this is one groovy track.  Love the sound of the guitars and the solid beat driving along with the piano.  Cool backstory too!
