guitars burning

By Q-Rosh on October 1, 2022 5:38 pm

this is a recording of the first time I was lighting up my fireplace in the house this year, because it became very cold. the prices for the wood are shockingly high. watching the fire, it was not the same feeling I used to have the other years, because it felt like I was burning my guitars. Nevertheless, my children should not freeze and I hope the wood will be enough for the rest of the winter period, I could only afford a fourth of the usual amount of wood.

Really love the fire percussion & this. Beautiful, pensive music, this. heart

Also sorry to hear firewood is so expensive. Don't burn the guitars....

This a nice ambient listening. smile

Nice rhodes chords, cool fire ambiance.

The fire sounds are really cool and the synth sounds are lovely.

Fire sounds like I"m in the room, I feel like I can smell it, and the warm warbly sounds wrap us in warmth. Too bad wood is so expensive!

Oh no! I hope you make it through winter! Let us know if you need any heating assistance!

That is one crunchy fire, hope it was nice and warm at least. The song certainly is.

Love the crackling sound of that fire and the warmth of the tones used on this one, I hope you can find a way to stay warm, no one should ever need to worry about that for their family.

The fire crackles really add an interesting feel/rhythm to the track.  The guitars with that pad in the background sound so good.  The chord progression gets me right in the chest.  I hope you and your family are able to keep warm this winter.

Using fire as percussion is inspired!

The overall ambience feels like a missing Boards of Canada track (probably missing because the boards burned). cool

Oh I really love the sound of fire cracking wood. What a beautiful idea for a track. I can even smell the fire on the dry wood through your track. The tones arrive on top like a warm blanket that one wears while close to the fire. Let's get a few acornes and heat them onto the fire. This feels like the diary of a warm Sunday afternoon at home, in front of a fire, while the sky is grey and it rains outside.

oh q-rosh - i've been following a bit of the news there...
wishing you a mild winter heart

also is there a place we can buy some of your tunes & support your work?
you offer so much beautiful free music here...
i see your physical releases on your website but not how to purchase them...
have you ever tried bandcamp?
let me know if you do smile

is this the sound of the guitars grieving their relatives?  is a beautiful and mournful tune

Love the mood here. Super chill and relaxing.

Everything is so much more expensive.  Sucks.

Fire is awesome though and you captured a very thick fire crackling sound.  Quite different.  Love the dog bark out of nowhere too.  Haha.

Lovely stuff.
