dusty faders

I could not reach my music during the whole week. Finally on sunday I found a last minute slot, to record some tunes. Unfortunately the analogmixer had a dustproblem and made bad noises to the recording. Because I was short of time, I had to integrate the dirt into the song. Finished after 3 hours, overtired and having a sick headache.

Your tracks often have a really calming, meditative and wandering feel to them. I'm sorry to hear that you had to make this under difficult circumstances, but this captures a great feel, and I'm glad to have you music as part of my year.

The dirt actually has some charm, like the crackling of a vinyl. Splendid work for a 3 hours session. I like the  string sounds from 2:50 on, they really cut through the mellower layers.

sometimes it's the imperfections that make the track hope you feel better.

Hope you get a chance to have a proper rest! Beautiful texture as usual.

sorry it didn't turn out how you wanted, but it sounds awesome to me!

A cool warbly feel to this one.  The chime-like sounds that come in near the end are especially cool.

Agree with others the dust/dirt adds a nice texture to the sound, like finding an old recording, very pleasing sounds.

I got a used vinyl copy of your Bergheim 34 album “It’s not for you, as it is for us” today in Canada, haven’t played it yet but excited to give it a spin.

I love the aesthetic of this track, which admittedly isn't unique to only this track because it's part of your overall vibe, but its that whole timelessness quality that makes the music sound like old cherished memories resurfacing.
I went kind of stream of consciousness when writing this comment so I hope that made some kind of sense, lol.

dusty, but not unloved
feels comfy

sounds pretty smooth to me! i have to work to add dust to my tracks!

hope you feel better soon heart
i love the little textures of dirt and noise, works perfectly with the slightly detuning synths, a bit like the more ambient side of 'boards of canada' but goes in many more directions than i'd ever expect.
beautiful work! heart

Sounds great, enveloping. Dust can be a friend. I feel like i'm turning

feel better q-rosh! this track sparkles

Dust serves a purpose, a musical purpose... Beautiful textures in this, feel like I get lost in this (in the best sense of the word "lost")

Ha Ha, you could probably sell that dusty fader if you could convert it into a plug-in smile Sounds cool! Lo-fi like vinyl scratches. The track has a very majestic, big sound!Hope you're feeling better.

I think the dirt adds character, it sounds deliberate, very nice atmosphere!

I agree with everyone, had you not mentioned the dirt I would have just assumed this was the intended sound.  It has your signature warm meditative sound.  For such short notice and not feeling well you came up with a gem.

The dusty faders sound good to me!  Lots of analog warmth with the tones here.  Love how the song wraps up.  Very cool indeed.
