Monsters

Going out of town this weekend so had to tap a project I worked on earlier this year. Now I remember why I left it unfinished... was playing with a rap verse. Doing the final cut in the car while my friend is driving so just gonna ship it where it left off. The highlight is probably the bass patch which I did on the Behringer Model D and ran through a couple choruses.

Feel free to roast.

Spooky vibe fits the lyrics. Nice! I think the bass swells fit nicely with the high chimey sounds. Cool rap. Would like to hear more of that from you! It provides a bit of contrast to the melodic hook vocals. Rad!

Thanks!!!

Listened to a Model D demo, now coming back here I can better identify it. Cool, I was hearing it as a bass + daw filter automation before, but now I’m hearing it more as a cohesive sound where the filter automation is consistent with each note triggering

Makes me think of an constraint idea: make a track with just synth1 or similar free synth.

And yes the bass is really fat and works well with the kick, hats, counter melody, and vocals.
