Lucid Steps

Wrote this one in the wee hours of Sunday morning/Saturday night. Discovered how to sequence mute groups on the OPZ; my biggest grip with using it. Same OPZ + 303 as usual. I do not touch the OPZ a single time during this performance, it can now handle changing patterns and mute groups all on its own

Absolute night driving jam. I love how sparingly the 303 is used. It’s maybe my favorite synth ever, but there’s something so nice about using it as this accent element where it just shows up for a quick hit or two and we’re left with the delay.

The slow build is so nice too. Around 5:00 we just go to grind town for a minute. I love it.

Apologies for the silence at the end! It’s over around 7:30

Cool track. It's taken a while, but after seeing so many clever uses I'm now officially jealous of owning a 303.

there's some sweet melody patterns here
- Ebrit

I like those arps. The melody has a sense of epic and progression. That nice simple beat and kick work perfectly grounding the track. Cool composition!

Lots of affordable clones out there! The best 303 is the one you can afford. Some great software versions out there too (like D16 Phoscyon on 50% sale currently)
