Retreat

Tried to set up a different challenge this week, so I started with an old unfinished track that hadn't worked out in it's original form. I removed most of it, keeping only a pulsing bass and some background drones.
After a few twists and turns I decided to go for something airier than what I usually do, (meaning almost no bassy drum machines drenched in reverb this week smile, although a few seconds of them was brought back into the final mix).
Added heavily edited acoustic drums, acoustic guitar processed with Sector and a Mopho synth line to make this one a sort of 'happily shuffling along'-track.

Man you're really into heist movies atmosphere these days! (and I absolutely enjoy it!)

pretty well arranged! you are creating an intriguing atmosphere using both synthesizers and accoustic instruments. great job!

Love heist movie chase / pursuit dynamics - sometimes I secretly wish this shit would erupt over the loudspeakers at work when I am doing menial tasks, just to give the impression there are some sinister forces at work other than brain-dead people muttering nonsense about their dreary lives smile This is great man, I mean I can imagine storming out of an inane work meeting to this with a very very serious look on my face as if whatever it is I was about to do next was very important. Seriously though, loving this.

Lovely restrained pace again.  Very effective.

Excellent tense ambience!

Every comment above is pretty much on the same page as me, excellent buildup and tension builder.  Deniro sitting in his Cadillac scoping out the next hit.  Nice work!

Fantastic comment, thanks! Feel free to use this for the soundtrack when you make the movie about your life smile
