This week it was time to use gear that's been collecting more dust than they deserve. Inspired by Laguna's recent find of a SP-505 and the inclusion of a Buddha Machine in Perplex On's live setup i took mine out, also getting out the Bastls Instruments MicroGranny 2.0, a fun instrument that I never seem to find the time to properly get to know my way around.
The background drones/loops are sampled from the Buddha Machine and mangled by the MG2, the bass line and bass drums were made from the stock samples on the SP-505. Pianoteq piano, Absynth strings, DSI Mopho and acoustic drums (mostly cymbals) are also present in the mix.

This is great. The somewhat dusty mix seems appropriate.

Excellent atmosphere, great bass, completely inspired.  Well done!

Lovely pacing once again.  Subtle.
