For Someone Else

By Plantrain on June 15, 2014 10:27 pm

The original intention this week was to learn to use my new microGranny 2.0, a fun hardware granular sampler. Wasn't really happy with what I came up with, so that track was heavily processed afterwards and mixed with a few drones. Drums from the Volca beats, and a organ/e-piano keyboard line, and as a result I'm squarely placed in my usual comfort zone sound again. smile

Musically I'm quite happy with the outcome, but I see I'm beginning to make quite a few tracks in the same vein now.

Beautiful. But if you want to get out of your "comfort zone," try a collaboration.

Pretty and slow churning. Great for headphones and a summer stroll

It is a little bit reminiscent of last week's track, but you've got such a great atmospheric sound going I certainly don't mind spending more time in this sonic environment.  Besides, you've got another 28 weeks or whatever it is to slip out of your comfort zone.

i like the dark vibe of the organ chords and the swirling drums. great atmosphere there!
