Lost in Persuasion (instrumental)

By Planet Zaxxon on February 11, 2018 10:34 pm

I tried really hard to make some vocals happen but it just wasn't working out. So here is a vibey laid back instrumental.

Stuff used:

Fernandes Strat with humbuckers tuned to E
Music Man 112RD, on board reverb (recorded with Shure SM7B, close)
Fender P Bass with flat wound strings tuned to E
Traynor Bass Mate (recorded with Shure SM7B, about 1 foot away from amp)
Roland JV-1010 for all the synth parts

Really like the main keyboard melody a lot, it's full of tension, good track!

That bassline and melody sound so nice together. This has an excellent melancholic Pink Floyd-esque drug trip vibes. Perfect!

Sometimes vocals just aren't needed. Great song.

Lovely.  Don't give up on putting vox on this one day hey.  Love that guitar tone... reminding me I need to do some string changing...

You squeeze a lot of soul from that JV. Also, the bassline sounds superb
