riffs and sound designs

I'll be real with you... this isn't my best work... I'm proud of the sound design and the general vibe, but I don't think everything forms together to make a coherent piece.

I had a bit of a tough week and this was all I could muster before it was up.

I'm really happy with the experimentation that I did and everything that I learned because of it, but I think I could have done a way better job on the structure.

That being said... I think it's more important to stay committed to the process of learning and improving than it is to nail a good result every time. I'm happy with what I put into the process...

I think I might try something less ambitious next week; but that always leaves me with simple chill hop projects that are satisfying to listen to - but don't really push me as a producer. I think that's my problem at the moment - I can be over ambitious and not meet standards; or I can do something really simple and feel like I'm not developing my skillset...

One thing is for sure... that weekly deadline and challenge to produce and put out one beat a week has been the single most effective tool in learning and achieving the skillset I desired.

Hope You are all well

XxX

I especially enjoy the intro part and I think you've pulled off a might fine track here!
How did you go about your sound design, I'm quite curious!
Well done!

I like the layers you are using. Like the ambient lines in the background around 0:40 bring a lot of dimension to the track and another exotic texture. The main riff bites hard!

that buzz is coming from INSIDE MY HEAD

Do you ever listen to Current Value?

I would really like this as an intro track on your album.  OR better yet, the intro track before you take the stage for your MEGA RAVE STADIUM CONCERT

Soz for the late response... I wrote quite a detailed response to the sound design question for my man @orangedrink... if you are curious - you can read it in the comments section here:

You said it.

That track is definitely one of those tracks where my life hasn't been the same since.  The descending motif makes me feel like I'm sinking into the earth, and everytime it repeats, it somehow feels like it's going lower and I'm going deeper.

The greatest compliment I can give you is that your music makes me feel the way Current Value makes me feel. heart
