DANDELION JIG

I tried something new this week.

I sat down with my accordion and noodled out a little jig with a couple of sections. Then recorded that and a few backup parts into my M8. I did a bit of mixing on the M8 but just ended up with the accordion parts in the final song. No synth stuff at all.

This is a different style that just kind of flows from an accordion. So I just went with it, even though I was not trying to write a jig! It's nice to mix things up though.

Holy crap... I LOVE the accordion SO DAMN MUCH!!! I'm so envious of the fact you a) have one and b) can play it like this! This is AWESOME!!! I strongly encourage more accordion-related submissions, because this was just delightful. Great job!

Thanks! Yeah, the accordion is a fun instrument. It's kind of like the original portable synth with the different sounds you can get out of something that you can carry around. I'll try to incorporate it some more in the coming weeks. It's just that it is a bit loud for evening work in my house so I lean towards something with headphones!
