It started from a melody

By Pescadito on April 7, 2024 8:52 pm

Hi all! This Sunday I came up with another Bossa kind of piece.

As the title says, it all started from a melody and then I added the chords and eventually a baseline.
The percussions are from Finn of GarageBand. I am not so happy about the amp noise from the guitar but I haven't figured out why sometimes it is more present and other times it is not.

The bridge was kinda fun to make, although with a bit more practice could be me way tighter.

I am not still sure about what the song is about, but I wanted to compose something more melody-centered this time. So, in that regard was a nice experiment.

Enjoy it!

Very smooth and intricate piece! I think this is a nice approach for a composition! It feels like the guitar parts are more natural, like you're talking through it! I have a feeling it's because of the melodic approach big_smile I'm curious how it was for you to approach it this way!

Still great effect with the hard panned guitars. Nice mix, everything is very clear and fits together in my headphones. True, except the amp noise.

I also really like the sound of the bass. Classic bossa style smile We gotta play this one together!

Very nice piece! very strong theme. Interesting idea to start with the melody. didn’t mind the amp noise, gives a sense of situation and adds some character.

really nice jam, love the groove, made want to listen to more bossa nova today!
