Red Snow

By Perplex On on December 28, 2014 11:11 pm

This one was done at the very last minute, so it's very rough around the edges. But the heck with it!! The track started with some field recordings of walking through snow i've recorded today and a mangled recording of a little toy music box playing "silent night, holy night". Later on there are some snippets of a christmas present to myself, the volca keys smile

I just can't believe it's the last weeklybeat for this year. It was an awesome time and i'm so grateful for this experience.

Thanks to you all, dear weeklybeats-fellows!!! I promise to catch up on your tracks the next days!

I'm sure this has been asked and answered, but what do you use for field recordings?  You implement them so well into your art.

Thanks for the encouragement and your great music.

Great ambience. This is definitely going on my playlist.

Excellent and consistent work as always.  Have really enjoyed the tunes.  Keep in touch!

Hallo! I've been constantly amazed of your skills and your "last minute" tracks, mate. Your stuff kept me scratching my head all year and I'm still wondering how you achieve those clear mixes without being muddy or chaoutic. Also musically, the use of field recordings and the piano over that arsenal of glitch is astounding. Hats off!!!

Will love to keep in touch in 2015 (Soundcloud maybe?)

Wishing you the best for the next year. Glad to hear you're enjoying your new toys wink

Happy New Year !!!

Your pieces are never rough around the edges. Fantastic final track, all the best for your future endeavors!

Thanks a lot! I'm using a rather old Zoom H2 recorder, sometimes even my phone with an attached Tascam iM2. I would imagine the more recent Zoom models are even better for its prices.

It's been a pleasure listening to your work all year. Really great stuff - I will continue to listen.

Another great track to end the WB-year, thank you so much for all the great tracks you have done and all the feedback you have given. Looking forward to hear what you will be doing in 2015 (assuming Soundcloud is the right place to keep track of your music).

Great music, I like this track a lot! All best for 2015!

Love your field recording use as always and that segway into the bass and drumbeat is suhweet! It's been a pleasure to listen to all of your music this year.  I owe a big thanks to you for sharing your drum bus as well.  That has continued to help me make the drums have more oomph! I'll def be following ya on SC & FB.  Have a great 2015!

love your sound
