This week i've tried to take a slightly different route. Instead of sitting on another new song, i've tried to do a live version of my week 1 song. And since i find it always interesting to see other artist's equipment and setup, i've made a little video of it to share with you. Hope you enjoy it and big thanks to all of you giving feedback, kind words and motivation the last weeks!!!

The Leap Motion sensor is controlling the Max for Live patch "grainfreeze" by Robert Henke via the "Geco MIDI" App, manipulating the live input from the piano. Animoog on the iPad is receiving midi from Ableton Live, which is triggered with the Launchpad Mini. The Launchpad is triggering some vocal slices, too. There is also a monome emulation going on using the "gridlock" plugin by sigabort (http://www.sigabort.co/m4l_lp.html). Push is controlling NI's Alicia's Keys piano plugin and Maschine is doing the Maschine vst of course.

The table lighting is a self-built Arduino-based design responsive to the volume/frequency of certain sounds/tracks in Ableton Live.

you have sold me on push. Your work is truly inspiring, if you can go over what you had going on for machine, the launch pad, tablet and push that would be much appreciated.

mindblowing.....I think my piano teacher would hate you know though big_smile

sick setup!

Sick track. It was great to see a video with it!

thank you so much! I have added some informations to the description!

wow, the visual experience of the track was awesome.  The piano is haunting, the beat you played on Maschine was suhweet and just seeing it all unfold really gives you a better appreciation for what you did.  Though, even if there wasn't a video, this is a solid track on it's own.  Oh and yeah I want a PUSH! Great job! smile

Wow, a great performance of a great track, and really nice to watch the video to see how it's done!

Stunning performance all-round! - I would love to see you play live in real life ...

Really like that LED table setup too wink you have a very immerse space to play with.

It looks like how imagined an electronic studio in the 21st century should look! Really wicked performance too dude. I'm getting a Push as a birthday present to myself next month and I damn well can't wait cos I've been totally jealous of everyone for months now tongue

Sweet crib ;P

great work!

Awesome.  Great video, the piece was excellent but getting to watch you perform was a huge bonus.  Nice set-up!  I've been messing with a Leap Motion and Geco here and there, I like the idea of raising it above your controllers with a glass.

Great track, well done!

oh man, GREAT video! inspiring me to do something similar.

yeah, if i were a piano teacher i would hate me, too! smile

kudos on making a whole production out of this!  envious of your controller prowess, i'm simply incapable of that kind of hand independence at this point =P

Great job and very nice to see the video with it, that is one serious setup!

so louud !! thank you !

Wow. smile Way to put all those controllers to great use!
P.S. Nice table big_smile

Movie like ... making me travel!!!

spechless

Echoing what everyone else said but, amazing! Particularly impressed with how you are able to perform the piano part so well with your left hand while doing all that other stuff with your right, much respect! I played around with filming myself when working on a track a while ago but it ended being not too interesting seeing me with a frown on my face listening to the same loop for hours, so kudos on making this really well-edited video AND cool track! smile

I'll add my voice to the chorus--outstanding, excellent work.  This is a great re-imagining of the first week's track.  Love the bleeps.

What are you using to trigger your left hand?
What home is that? big_smile

Kickass performance, thanks for the video!

That was excellent. (many) Bonus points for doing it live!

very very cool!
