Captain Kuckuck

Is it just me or are the weeks getting shorter? smile Every week i'm planning to start earlier but ending up rushing more and more towards the deadline. Initially i started with experimenting with reverbs, different spaces and speaker emulations and morphing between them, rather a sounddesign job than making a composed melodic song. But as almost every week it turned out to develop into a whole other direction.

P.S. Note to myself: Make shorter intros!

Stuff used: Thor + DM1 + Samplr on the iPad, Ableton Live, Razor, Maschine.

Nice!

Oh man, this is fantastic. Very well done. Cool artwork, too

Very, very cool

Cool vibes, love that break when the backwards masking starts and the tension just rises. Tight tune!

Wow!O_O Excellent tune!

Excellent sounds design and amazing track. The mix is great too. Great work!

suhweet sounds, that kick sits perfectly in the mix and that subtle bass feeds right into it.  Early on it has an industrial feel to it but then it progressed into a bit of mellow house.  The sounds in this are friggin awesome and the piano that comes in and out is perfect.  Well done!  (and yes the weeks seem to be getting shorter.  Monday is where I feel relaxed and relieved I finished a track then suddenly it's Saturday night and I'm panicking!)

Yes, this is indeed.. Unbelievable.

Homie what soft synth do you use? (that is if youre using a vst) I love how alot of your pads sounds.

And some comments for this track i really liked the indutrial tekky sound in the beginning but really shapes itself once the piano comes in with that razor like lead. Long live the SAWS

Love that slightly rhythmically "off" hi-hat and the groove you create! Also how you manage to keep the low-ends of the bass and kick working together so well is amazing - something I personally always struggle with...

On the note of weeks getting shorter, yes!!! Thanks for saying that, thought it was just me big_smile Keep telling myself "this week I will just do something very simple and minimal" until I realise it's actually quite hard to pull off something simple and minimal that still sounds interesting tongue

das fetzt doch mannn

great rythms, bass, cleanliness, mix. maybe if you're getting stuck in too many details, try to limit yourself wink it may be a sign of having too many options. nevertheless, you still did a fantastic job here

Very well done, all the different sounds work together and compliment each other, the bass is perfect, and I think the length of the intro is just right

Really has a dub kind of vibe going on.  Great sounds amongst the static.  Very cool indeed.

Nee geht gut ab. My personal favorite here are the many reverb spaces, especially the small ones that create a field-recording-y vibe in the beginning. And the transition from intro to beat is gorgeous.

BTW yes I think the weekly thing is really starting to get tricky, too!!

Very tasteful side-chaining! It's gonna be hard not listening to this on repeat this week. I gotta know what you're using for a DAW!

Man, this track is so easy to get lost in.

Very nice, somehow I forgot to comment on it before smile

Great track with lots of interesting details. Nice work!

Thanks a lot! It's Ableton Live and mixing/mastering is almost only done with onboard plugins. Cheers!

As a practice I try to use different vst's or ipad synths every now and then. For this one the main synth was Thor on the iPad which i processed in Samplr and then recorderd into Live. Cheers!

THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS!!! I really appreciate you take your time to listen and for your feedback and comments. I know it's sometimes really hard to keep track and take the time with all these great contributions and stuff going on here at weeklybeats!

Thanks for mentioning that! It IS absolutely true i often struggle because of too many options. And actually i prefer a more minimalistic approach on things i listen to or produce on my own. I will try hard to keep that in mind smile

Wow world building

Love it, very detailed track!
