line in (M8)

M8 render, TOTALLY SAMPLES USED.  learning the live recording workflows of the M8!  super cool to experience how the workflow has matured, with the count-in metronome, playback of tracks from a specific row, and more.

the drums were super minimal to provide backing for the other live recordings (pretty much plugged right into the M8's audio in),

Here's what i used:
- Larrivée D-02 for acoustic guitar.  going through a Zoom G1X digital pedal, just to get it closer to line level, no pedal FX.  the guitar fx are all M8 onboard fx

- Ibanez Mikro short scale bass guitar.  one of my covid projects was to learn to play electric bass.  probably shoulda tuned it lol

- Yamaha Reface CP that i bought last year because I wanted Instant Rhodes.  i use its onboard effects here (delay + tremolo + reverb)

Actually super stoked that with the M8 i also have a robust portable live session solution.  woo woo

The M8's versatility never ceases to amaze me.
An excellent jam, nice tight playing and a great groove.
Enjoyed this a lot!!
Also that bass tone ripppps!

M8 Club!  heart

This is a brilliant groove; I could listen to EP over that massive kick + bass all day.  Makes me feel like I'm in a dialogue screen from an early Persona game tongue

Also:
- Don't fret (heh) the tuning—the bass sounds great as it is.
- No shame in using samples with the M8, btw (the bundle for my track this week has almost 50 tongue)

You're making me want to dig out my guitars after putting them down for half a decade in favour of electronic music haha heart

Fantastic groove throughout.

This is a very smooth piece. Love it.

Lovely session, great vibes! The m8 is just amazing, super cool to find people using it as a portable recording station heart

Love the reface so much… just want an extra octave.  Nice jam smile

Very fun to hear a track that focuses almost exclusively on recorded audio. Well done!
