Making music is so much fun! Glad to have you and excited to see how you grow throughout the year. Something that really helped me when I was first starting was taking a track I really liked and putting it in my daw and trying to create something similar to it. It really helps to stretch those muscles and learn how other people put music together

I like that the kick changes syncopation every now and then, cool effect. reminds me of a sick drum solo by bill stewart on Over Big Top by Scofield. not at all this genre but he does a similar trick on syncopation.
