I am curious: when you are working on certain things, do you do so with a direction/aim/motivation other than simply to do it? Perhaps I should say a methodology.

If I may be slightly critical, I think sometimes it would be best to hold a note steady rather than using vibrato in the voice. These melodies are quite strong, so things like melisma and vibrato can distract from the clarity of the line.

Love the backing vocals, and the song structure is solid. Great stuff. Very curious to see how the song stuff combines with the slightly abstract stuff you've been doing.

Vin - I work very very quickly.  So whole thing recorded yesterday and lyrics written and sung on the spot so not much chance to refine.  I'll keep your suggestion in mind for this weeks.
