Sophia's Clementine Hearts

By Parallelis on February 12, 2012 6:05 pm

Made with ableton, garageband, audacity, and an old Yamaha Portasound from 1983.

Somehow this turned into a dance track, but I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out

Kind of a WIP in progress so CC is appreciated. I definitely want to fix that kind of random abrupt ending....

Atmospheric! Although, I think you should get rid of the house beat and do something more interesting with the percussion.

niiice, i love the chilled out intro and build smile

@vcmg i might do that, i agree that the unce didn't really work that well

Lovely. Texture filled with great melodies. smile Respect

Super chillax, great work! big_smile

the subtlety in that build was extremely pleasant, and unexpected big_smile

Great sounds! I love the intro.

There's a nice depth in the layering of sounds in the mix with the bass and drums punching through without being loud or overstated.  It has a dance beat but retains a really chilled out feel.  Really like it.  Great work!  I used to have an old portasound.  May need to get on Ebay this week... I'm inspired.

you guys are awesome, thank you so much!

@NWSPR PortaSounds are totally boss. They tend to get all crackly, but it sounds really cool, especially on the vibes setting. And you've gotta love those cheesy preset drum beats

Parallelis, this is great!  Love the atmosphere. I have an old 80s portasound and it has some surprisingly fun sounds for what it is! wink

love the build and didn't mind the house beat cause it was so subtle

I once wrote a song called Jason's Spiritual Bus. But this is better smile Keep using that portasound...

Loving the intro.

subtle percussion is good.

thanks everyone! nice to see all this portasound love heart

@DrumurBoy oh no...conflict....you....vcmg....GRAH! nah jk, though i am uploading a varying beat version to soundcloud soon so you know. Listen to whichever you want :3

@sinewave oh i gotta hear that. Jason's Spiritual Bus?!
